Wow, what a month. Without going into too much detail, I’ve been quite busy. I was able to recover the files (from the computer in my last post). Anywho, all this busy-busy has landed me with a fried lower back. Even with the added activity I haven’t lost any weight and still have the same amount of insomnia… damn it! I am in slightly better spirits though, so it’s all good. The weather has gone from hot to cold with a few hours of Fall-type weather to enjoy.
So, it’s 2:30am and I’m having a coffee. Woke up with a severely dry throat and an aching back around 2, maybe I should have made some cocoa… with peppermint schnapps in it. Grant (Ward’s son) was nice to me yesterday, guess pain is something he can relate to. Pain is something nearly everyone can relate to… except Ward, he is as healthy as a horse, figuratively speaking.
I’m still using Windows 7 RC and love it. The real W7 is on its way, might get it today, maybe tomorrow, maybe next week… The transition from Vista to W7 is minimal, it’s nearly the same, as I’ve said before. I like 7 more than XP and more than Vista. I’ve been running it for about 6 months from beta to RC (release candidate). The first beta was craptastic, network issues.
I’m contemplating a nibble from this Oxycontin (or “Oxy-Cotton” as I hear it around here) here… have crackerpracter appointment at 9am. He electrified me yesterday and ultrasounded my back fat. I about died there on the table! I do feel better today than I did yesterday though, so it helped.
Damn It, Damn It, Son of a Bitch!
What a couple of weeks this has been! I had to replace the driver’s front bearing on my popcan car, then noticed one strut was bent slightly in the front and one was blown in the back, that one had been since I got the car. I did the work myself, still cost nearly $600… but the car drives better and feels “safer” now.
I’ve been doing grunt work here and there to pay for this and feed my face, working on one now that’s a junker. I had just gotten everything reinstalled software-wise… and was putting her stuff back on when the fucking thing started squeaking and fried my external hard drive, with her stuff on it! Then my monitor went blue… so it fried it too. Fucking piece of shit. Even though the external is fried, I’m able to extract nameless files from the thing… the extension is there, but the files are basically fuckered. She’s getting a new computer, and some nameless files back. Damnit!
I’m tired as hell. I think I’ll just let the recovery run on this crap all night…
